   Proposal Description:
   1) The goal of this research is to correlate the neuropathology of PPA subtypes with the impairment of language functions. We postulate that specific subtypes of neuropathology may at least partially explain some of the heterogeneity of clinical presentations in PPA. We believe the results of this study could help to better elucidate the clincopathological links of impaired language subdomains of PPA to potentially improve diagnostic accuracy and lead to more focused treatment modalities in the future.                                        2) The specific objectives of the research proposed are as follows: to assess for relationships between impairment on specific language subtests and particular neuropathological underpinnings and determine if these clinicopathological associations extend to subtypes of PPA.
